SCK Health Hires New CFO
Written by Krista Carrillo
At the beginning of this year, SCK Health bid farewell to Debbie Hockenbury, who retired as SCK Health’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) after serving for three years. During her tenure, Debbie helped lead the hospital through the national COVID-19 pandemic, and the change from SCK Health operating as a PPS hospital to the new Rural Emergency Hospital designation. SCK Health expresses gratitude for Debbie’s dedicated service and wishes her all the best in her retirement.
With this change in the tide, we are pleased to announce that Shannon Gray is joining SCK Health as our new CFO. With over 17 years of experience in the healthcare industry, Shannon brings a wealth of knowledge to this role. Majoring in accounting, she holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Oklahoma State University. Shannon began her career as a Staff Accountant at Ponca City Medical Center and quickly rose through the ranks, eventually becoming Financial Controller at Blackwell Hospital. She then served as CFO at Fairfax Medical Facilities for four years.
Although new to SCK Health, Shannon is no stranger to Cowley County. Having a long-standing family connection to Ark City, Shannon is thrilled to be serving the same community she grew up in. Outside of work, she enjoys reading and spending time with her family. She and her husband, Greg, have been married for 37 years and share four children and four grandchildren. We are excited to have Shannon on our team at SCK Health and look forward to utilizing her skills to drive our organization forward!
