What is a Respiratory Therapist’s job?
Respiratory therapists can assist with keeping airways open, inflating lungs with oxygen and expelling carbon dioxide in treating emergency, intensive care and acute care patients. Daily tasks would include basic nebulizer and oxygenation therapies.
Respiratory services also attend all cesarean sections and assist the OB department with airway emergencies that arise within their department.
