SCK Health is excited to announce the addition of Lori Schwartz to the roster of providers at SCK Health Primary Care – Ark City.

Lori rejoins the SCK Health family as a board-certified family nurse practitioner, previously working in SCK Health’s surgery department.  She offers a wealth of clinical nursing experience, caring for patients covering the entire lifespan.  Lori began her nursing practice serving two health systems in Topeka, Kansas:  The University of Kansas St. Francis Campus and Stormont Vail Health Emergency and Trauma Center.  There she cared for patients in the areas of orthopedics, rehabilitation, surgery, and neonatal intensive care.  Lori also cared for geriatric residents on the weekends in two separate long-term care facilities which specialized in dementia and Alzheimer’s care.  In Topeka, Lori also put her surgical nursing skills to use working for several Ophthalmologists, gaining valuable experience in the operations of a private medical office.

After moving to Arkansas City, Lori worked in the surgery department at William Newton Memorial Hospital.  In recent years, Lori has enjoyed engaging in the challenges presented in public health and serving the pediatric population within the USD 470 Arkansas City Public School setting.

Lori is drawn to primary care because she enjoys caring for people of all ages. “I am excited to return to my SCK Health family and feel privileged to be given the opportunity to serve others in my community in a new way.”

Jeff Bowman, SCK Health CEO stated, “Lori will be a great asset to our provider team at SCK Health. Her experience and commitment to our community are invaluable and we are ecstatic to have her back with us.”
