Returning to Ark City Clinic – Scarlett Virden, FNP-BC

SCK Health currently boasts a wide range of providers at the Ark City Clinic, and we are thrilled to welcome a local favorite back! After leaving SCK Health several years ago due to a family move, Scarlett Virden will be returning at the end of May. “I am so excited to be coming back! Leaving SCK Health has been the only position that I have left that I was sad and did not feel finished” Scarlett said when asked about coming back to SCK Health. Not only is Scarlett going to be a terrific addition to the current SCK Health team, but an amazing provider to our patients. With 18 years of combined medical experience as a Registered nurse and then Family Nurse Practitioner and extensive knowledge of rural and critical access hospitals in multiple capacities including risk, compliance, and quality management. Scarlett has also helped from the emergency department to long-term care and everywhere in between, we know she will easily fit back in.

Scarlett is currently a Family Nurse Practitioner who will be graduating with her Doctor of Nursing Practice with a focus on mental health in September of 2023 and will be completing her PMHNP (Practitioner of Mental Health Nurse Practitioner) summer of 2024, a specialized track that strengthens her ability to help patients with mental health issues, safely and effectively.

Women’s Health and babies are also a passion for Scarlett, she stated, “I love babies and all things women’s health, I enjoy everything about it!” She is ready to start seeing patients of all ages and steps of their healthcare journey.

Jeffrey Bowman, SCK Health CEO stated, “Scarlett was missed when she left, and I know she will be a great fit with our current team. We are happy to welcome her home!”

Scarlett has been married for 28 years to her best friend, Eddie, and has 5 children with two bonus daughters-in-law! She has 7 amazing grandchildren and enjoys spending all her free time being a nana!
